St Giles - Rowley

Passchendaele Walk.

On Armistice day Saturday 11th November 2017 at 11.00 am

All are welcome to attend either or both the 2 minutes silence and the walk afterwards.

We will begin with a 2 mins silence at 11 am. 

We will then walk to 9 of he last known addresses of those listed on St Giles War Memorial and place a poppy near by. 2 more will be remembered at their last known address further out from Rowley by car. 

The walk is approx. 2.5 miles and is graded as a Stroll, normally up to two hours at an easy pace, likely to be suitable for many children and slow walkers.

All children to be accompanied by an adult.

Please wear sensible clothing appropriate to the weather and walking boots are recommended.

The Route

Church > Dudley Road > Knowle Church > Tippity Green near Quarry Entrance > Siviters Lane > Bell End > Mincing Lane > Then Optional, finish and go home or meet at the Robert Peel Public House.
